Airotel Achaia Beach

The sea-view room was wonderful. Looking out over the patriakos kolpos, with the sights and sounds, felt soul-filling, especially during the storm one evening. The wind and waves sent me into a deep sleep. This is a beautiful seaside spot with the distinctive feel of a Greek hotel, and it has all the amenities. It's new, and you can tell the staff care about giving guests the right experience. Breakfast was excellent, and the food delivery arrangement with the restaurant next door was perfectly adequate. I appreciated the filtered water stations on every floor. The modern lounge still feels welcoming, and the raised outdoor seating on the main floor looks toward the sea. Having coffee with the view while 8-10 children played football on the lawn below felt like a uniquely Greek moment that warmed my heart. There's plenty of room for everyone. The beach wasn't crowded with tourists yet, which was a real treat at the start of May, though the pool hadn't opened and the municipality raked the beach on my second day. I do have a couple of complaints. The gym was barely functional. I had to ask some kids to leave so I could use the treadmill, there were no usable stretch mats, just a strange crinkly camping mat like one I'd seen at the local jumbo shop. There was no water there, either at a filtered station or in bottles, and no wipes or spray for the equipment. I appreciated that the sauna worked, but it needs attention, as does the shower room. Also, the central elevators and staircase are the only exits, and I would have expected a second emergency stairway on the side of the building. Compared with many larger Greek hotels, this one is nice, and the price felt right for the value. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The staff are very professional, and it seems management is working to bring the Hotel up to 2026 standards. After the recent renovation, there are still a few minor things to improve. I think management would benefit from talking more with the employees on site.

The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the staff were friendly. A special thank-you to the cleaning ladies, who kept our room really clean. The beach is close by, and the rooms were quite good too. I had a wonderful holiday here and would happily recommend the place. Looking forward to next year :)

I picked this hotel with friends because the online reviews were so good, but they were doing renovation work yesterday and the place smelled strongly of building materials. The biggest issue was the connection: there was no signal, and the Wi-Fi showed just one bar and sometimes wouldn't connect. Breakfast the next morning was very sparse as well. Maybe it'll be fine once the renovations are finished.
