Mrs. Eugenia, the manager, was incredibly kind and always willing to help. The place has charm, and small improvements to things like the garden could be made without much expense. The suite had a few details that made it feel cheap, especially given the nightly price. An old comforter had been tucked under the mattress to soften it, and the tiny, old refrigerator was noisy. There wasn’t a coffee machine for times when staff were away. I also disliked finding tea bags with a note saying each one would cost €1.50. What let us down most was the staff. We’ve traveled a lot, and expected the warmth you’d hope for in a small village mansion, but they seemed to be doing their jobs reluctantly. At breakfast they stayed in the kitchen with their backs to guests serving themselves. We’d hoped for a traditional Greek breakfast, but much of it was frozen and the quality was very poor. The handmade walnut pie and leek pie were fantastic, though.

The building and atmosphere are lovely, and we were welcomed so warmly. The hotel is in a great location, and the place was completely quiet. Breakfast in the morning was traditional. Thanks for the hospitality, Dear Evangia.

The location of Archontikl Petras worked perfectly for us, with a bakery and coffee place across the street and shops, restaurants, and the beach all within walking distance. My husband and I stayed four nights and had a wonderful time. Marie welcomed us with cold watermelon and ice water when we checked in. Every morning she made us a delicious, generous breakfast with plenty of local favorites to try. She also kept the room spotless, helped with our laundry, and changed the sheets and pillowcases midway through the stay. Highly recommend!

A short five-minute walk takes you to Petra centre, and Anaxos beach is seven minutes away by car. The room was very clean and spacious, with high ceilings. The shared area is nicely decorated, and there’s a little garden with a swing our son enjoyed while we had coffee. Breakfast was decent, and the large balcony had tables and chairs for eating. I’d recommend it!

We had a lovely welcome, and the host was really helpful, even recommending a great place for dinner. Breakfast was a feast, so good and full of joy! The rooms were clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a perfect size. A great place to stay.
