We really liked the hotel. There were lovely shared spaces where you could sit and read, and it was a great stay. Breakfast was very nice too. Thanks for everything!

There’s no reception, but Aspasia and her husband live upstairs and are around most days if you need them. I also really liked having breakfast in the garden, with homemade food made from their eggs and garden produce, for an extra fee. This is a small, family-run place with 13 simple rooms. Each has the basics for cooking, a bathroom, and a balcony or terrace with seats for two. Around the grounds there are places to sit in sun or shade, plus sun loungers. The main road runs outside, but the grounds seem to keep traffic noise out of the rooms. Cafes and restaurants are an easy five-minute walk to the town square, and the nearest beach is about ten minutes away, with loungers and service. You can swim across the road too, though there’s no beach there to lie on.

The village has a genuine charm, with plenty of shops and places to eat. Petra also has a long pebble beach lined with inviting restaurants. You can use the sunbeds and umbrellas for free if you order a drink.
