Theofilos Classic Hotel

Before we got there, we were a bit concerned because of all the negative reviews. Thankfully, our experience was much better. It isn’t a 5 star hotel, but I’d still give it 5 stars. We got a bigger room when we arrived because we were travelling with two kids. The rooms aren’t Hilton standard, but they have the Greek charm we’ve come to love. Everything worked, it was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The cleaning staff didn’t speak much English, but they tried their best to communicate with gestures and always had a smile. The pool area was amazing, with a large, clean pool and lots of sunbeds. The lady at the poolbar was the best part. She won our little boy over with her lovely smile and amazing personality, and helped make our holiday memorable. Lovely food, cold drinks and always a smile, what more could you ask for? I’d advise travellers to come with an open mind, whether here or at any Greek hotel. A broken tile or a tub that doesn’t jacuzzi isn’t really a big deal.

The toilet was the worst part. There was an unbearable smell, and I don’t know what’s wrong with their sewers, but it’s bad. The rooms are dated, with broken interior, although that wasn’t the worst of it. Breakfast wasn’t great either. The eggs weren’t kept warm, the bread was dull and the selection overall wasn’t very good.

Awful experience. The staff were mean, and they came into our room without knocking while we were staying there. I don’t recommend it.

The pool is really nice, but some rooms are in poor condition. Our balcony door glass was broken and there was no TV in the room. We also couldn’t find the guy from the bar to order coffee. They need to pay more attention and have more staff.
