Hotel Achillion

The men at reception were ready with answers and a kind word when I needed one. They also introduced me to other guests in a way that felt easy and natural. The hotel itself was tidy, clean, and well organized. I was lucky to meet one guest with a whole amphora of fascinating stories from his eventful life, and he taught me more than anyone else has. He humbled me, in a very positive, almost angelic way. Be a man like Archilles and stay here. 🗡️⤵️🙃

We chose this modest, affordable hotel for the night before our cruise, and it suited us perfectly. The bed was firm but comfortable, the room was clean, and the air-conditioning was cold. We had a balcony looking onto the street. There are shops and restaurants nearby, and the area seemed fairly safe during the day, though we weren't out at night. The metro is about a four-minute walk away, and lots of travelers wheel their suitcases around in the daytime. We took a taxi from the airport; the front desk arranged another one for the port, which took seven minutes and cost €10. Basic, friendly, and good for a short stay.

The staff were very kind and the service was great. Our room was cozy and clean, and the location worked especially well with a ferry trip the next day.

We booked one two-room setup and one single room, both at affordable rates. The rooms were simple but clean and tidy, and reception is staffed around the clock. The staff were friendly, and they kept our luggage for free while we waited for a later ferry or flight after checkout. Achillion Hotel is two blocks from Piraeus Port, by Entrance E9, and close to the metro. From there, the €9 ride takes 75 minutes to or from the airport, or you can travel to Monastiraki or Syntagma to reach Athens or go farther out.
