Kalimera Village

We really enjoyed the lovely pool and the apartment's clean, thoughtful design. Our renovated two-bedroom place was comfortable, the ocean view was amazing, and the owners and Costa gave us very good service. ❤️

The room was pretty, the balcony had a lovely view, and the pool area was pleasant. Those were the bright spots in a stay that otherwise felt uncomfortable. There were four of us and we'd all booked breakfast. We had clearly noted during booking that one person is gluten-intolerant and were assured this would be accommodated. When we asked for gluten-free bread, Kosta curtly said, “No, no, no, we don’t do this here.” We had to push and negotiate for something that had already been agreed, before Kosta finally agreed to make the effort the next day. It made communication very uncomfortable. Our apartment had other problems too: the towels left lint on our skin, there was no hot water on the first night, and the soundproofing was nonexistent. Trying to sleep in the living room was nearly impossible because of noise inside the residence. The first thing Kosta said when we arrived was, “I don’t know why did you park like this?!” It wasn't a welcome. Our car was within the marked lines, with plenty of room left for the cars beside us. It's the first time we've ever been greeted at a hotel with a reprimand. We'd read many positive reviews, especially about how welcoming the staff were, and we're sorry we didn't experience that ourselves. We only dealt with Kosta, and even getting a smile from him was difficult. We also read the establishment's response saying it was unfair to judge an employee by a “personal feeling.” In hospitality, though, the guest's perception is exactly what matters. As another guest said, it's fine not to be warm or friendly, but perhaps hospitality isn't the right field for you.

Anna was kind and very easy to communicate with, and the apartment had everything we needed: three floors, balconies, air conditioning, and a fantastic shared pool. Set on high ground between the sea and the mountain, it's quiet and has great views. Great value, and we'd love to return.

We spent ten days in the village as a family and had a fantastic time. The room was very clean, breakfast was varied and really good, and the service was very good too. The views from the village are amazing.
