Apollon Studios Plakias

The room itself was spacious, renovated, nicely styled, and had really comfortable beds. We also appreciated the website’s restaurant suggestions. The location is hard to beat, with the beach, shops, and several good restaurants just steps away. Breakfast was okay, though many items seemed mass-produced or store-bought. What put us off was the atmosphere. It felt a bit like an unplanned German retiree summer camp: there was an early yoga class on the lawn, followed by water aerobics with music blasting at 9:30 on a weekend, both while we were having breakfast. Watching people exercise while eating wasn’t appetizing. Nobody told us about or invited us to the classes, so we don’t know whether the hotel sponsored them. The whole thing felt odd and didn’t make for a relaxing weekend.

The board games came in handy when rain kept us inside on our end-of-season trip. We had a lovely time at Apollo Studios, where the rooms have been beautifully refurbished and are modern, clean, and well designed. Everyone on staff was friendly, and Stratos at the front desk and bar was fantastic. It was my first time in Plakias, and I found it magical. I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend Apollo Studios.

Breakfast by the pool was a lovely way to start each day, and the pool area itself was amazing. It was easy to walk into town or down to the beach, with plenty of great restaurants around. The rooms have been beautifully renovated, with modern amenities, lovely terraces, gorgeous bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. The staff were incredibly welcoming too. I loved every minute of my recent stay and highly recommend this hotel.
