Galini Beach

Clean, basic rooms with what we needed for a beach holiday. It's a family-run hotel across the street from Plakias beach, right at the end of the street with all the restaurants. Supermarkets are nearby and there's parking, so everything's close.

A quiet, budget-friendly hotel with a large garden and comfortable parking. The balcony rooms are spacious, and the sea and everything else are easy to reach. The market, cafes and restaurants are a minute's walk away. The owner doesn't communicate in English, but is very friendly and helpful. Don't come expecting luxury, but you'll be comfortable.

I should've stayed here all week. After three nights up the street with the wind whistling through the door like demons from my past calling for my soul, this quiet, beachfront room felt like a haven. It was absolutely silent, with easy parking. Around $45 a night in October, it's the best deal in the area. There was a bottle of Raki waiting, and a wonderful man looking after the place. So much love and hospitality here.

I came straight here to write a positive review. This is a small hotel next to the beach, and the cleanliness is on another level. Everything is perfectly clean, tidy and hygienic. I feel relaxed knowing that, and it's a great example of how a small family-run place can make a guest's stay so much better. For me, it beats the big, supposedly luxurious places that can feel flighty and superficial. I came back to add that Manolis, the owner and host, is a lovely family man with a warm soul and a good heart. You feel his positive energy as soon as you enter. I'd had a bad week, and this place and its lovely owners made me feel much better. I've stayed in all sorts of places, and this one is special. I've worked in Plakias and looked for a job here, so I know the places around town. Trust me when I say this is the best place to stay in Plakias. I picked it on Booking based on the photos and price, but the real thing is much better than the pictures, and the price is very acceptable. If you need somewhere to rest your soul, this is the one.
