Manolis Apartments

The apartment was spotless, roomy enough for two, and the kitchen had plenty of equipment. We stayed for two weeks in a one-bedroom place with two balconies: the rear one looked out over the mountains, but had no furniture, so we kept carrying chairs from the front balcony, which faced a tree. The shower had great pressure, though it was hand-held and not fixed to the wall, and there was no toaster. We booked through Love Holidays after seeing photos of a one-bedroom apartment with two loungers on the balcony. We didn't get that room, and were told it was privately rented at a higher price and could be booked by emailing directly. With only a handful of apartments, we'd thought we might get it. Showing rooms that guests can't actually book felt like misleading advertising from both Love Holidays and the apartments.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, and we'll definitely come back. We spent four nights in a spacious, clean one-bedroom apartment, close to the beach. Our son enjoyed the toys in the peaceful garden by the pool. We had a lovely stay, thank you!

The hotel was clean and nice, but the bathroom had no shampoo, shower gel, or hand soap. We asked only for hand soap and the gentleman wouldn't give us any. One star off over what amounts to a one-euro cost saving.

Plakias has plenty of restaurants and activity, yet Manolis Appartements are set in a spot that stays quiet. The garden and pool were very well cared for, and our clean, spacious apartment had cooking facilities if we needed them. We also had breakfast every day: eggs, fresh orange juice and bread, with a modest amount of food. The owner doesn't say much, but he's an honest person and seemed glad we were happy guests. We loved our week there and would stay again when we're back in Crete. Thanks for having us.
