Jannis welcomed us warmly, and chatted with guests each day. He even tried to teach us a little Greek every day. We stayed in summer 2019 at this hotel on a steep road, about 50 meters above the rest of town, with a lovely view over the town and mountains. A beautiful beach is just a 3-minute walk away, and there are several shops and plenty of great restaurants nearby. It's still a 2-star hotel in our view. Air conditioning and a refrigerator cost extra, and we didn't need anything else. The 1-star reviews are brazen and completely out of place. Some people clearly didn't research the parking, amenities or location properly, and others gave one star without explaining why. For a quiet, relaxing, enjoyable holiday, Villa Lappa is perfect.

The owners run this small hotel with a lot of care, and were very friendly to deal with. It's in a quiet spot higher up in the village, though an easy walk down into town.
