Villa Mayeia

Elena and Giorgos were so helpful, sharing local knowledge and pointing us towards some great restaurants where we could try regional food. They made sure we had what we needed throughout our June stay at Mayeia Apartments. The place stood out for its modern design mixed with traditional touches. Everything was clean and carefully maintained, and the apartments were comfortable. With several lovely beaches close by, the location worked well for us. A few windy days sent us to Dinosauria Park and Aquarium in Heraklion, which made a nice change from sunbathing for the kids. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend Mayeia Apartments to anyone after comfort, luxury, and local experiences. Thanks, Elena and Giorgos!

We’d be very happy to return. The area around the villa is beautiful, and you don’t have to drive far to enjoy Crete. If you want to explore more of the island, it’s easy to get around by car. Our stay at the Mayeia 3 bedroom luxury had everything we’d hoped for, plus a little extra. The hostess was kind and had plenty of good suggestions for sights, food, and things to do. The location made it easy to walk to the beach, under five minutes away, as well as town, restaurants, shops, and markets. We had a sea view, and the villa was so relaxing that leaving it was hard. There were pools, outdoor spaces, large bedrooms, and modern furnishings, with plenty of dishes, cookware, utensils, and spices. A welcome gift, including a lovely bottle of wine, was a nice touch. We spent a week here with seven family members, and everyone loved Villa Mayeia. The two villa buildings were lovely, as were the two pools and the espresso machines. The owners were kind, helpful, and respectful. No request felt too big or too small, and they made us feel very welcome. It was our best weeklong family holiday, in a beautiful villa and setting with lovely owners. Everything was lovely.

We could get everywhere on foot, with the supermarket, beach, and town of Plakias all ideally close. We didn’t have a car. There were ten adult family members in our group, and the villa was clean, spacious, and well equipped. We could all sit down for a meal together in the upper villa by the pool. One small suggestion: long mirrors would have been useful.
