Villa Nissos

Villa Nissos sits on the hill above Plakias, with magnificent views over the bay and the town and sea about 400 meters away. It feels peaceful while still being close to both the town and beach. The villa has three king-size bedroom suites, each with its own bathroom and terrace, and breathtaking views. It’s a luxurious modern holiday home with a real Greek style, a good base for exploring southern Crete. From Plakias, you can head to Preveli beach, Loutro, Marmara, and plenty of other places on the island. It works well for a family or friends looking to discover the area.

With teens, we loved our stay here. Just keep in mind that two bedrooms are separate from the main house, which may not work as well for young children. That layout gives two families or teenagers lots of privacy. The villa was beautiful, well equipped, and had what we needed for a wonderful holiday. The pool was amazing, and the view was the best in Plakias. The pool men and letting agent were lovely and very helpful. We can’t wait to return.

We keep coming back to this villa and always love it. It has an authentic feel along with all the luxury you need, and looks out over the bay of Plakias. The small city centre, with lots of nice places to eat, is within walking distance.

We return every year and have never wanted to stay anywhere else. The villa is well maintained and perfectly serviced, and it seems to get better each time. The garden improves year by year, more shady spots have been added, and the renewed management is even better than before. We’ll be back!
