Minoa Palace Resort - Imperial Beach Wing

The rocky shoreline was a letdown: it wasn't suitable for swimming or even a pleasant walk. The hotel itself was comfortable, with spacious rooms, balconies, and well-sized pools for adults and children. Staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. Breakfast and dinner were good quality, though more variety would be welcome. One thing that disappointed me at a five-star hotel was having to buy drinking water bottles and coffee capsules for the in-room machine separately each day. Even with those drawbacks, the facilities and service made for a comfortable stay.

The conference rooms worked really well, with plenty of space and great IT. I stayed several nights for an academic conference, and found the food fresh and tasty, the rooms spotless and spacious, and the service stellar. The facilities all looked beautiful, though I wish the weather had been warmer so I could have used more of them, and stayed longer. For sustainability, they could use real cups instead of paper and replace towels less often. Also, staff called me “Mr.” several times even though I'm a woman and corrected them. Otherwise, highly recommend!

The service is what stood out most. Everyone took such good care of us and was so service minded. Special thanks to Matina at reception, who was professional and kind. Whenever something came up, there was a solution. I'm so thankful! All the facilities are also kept to a really high standard. Wow, just wow.

The room overlooked the mountains, and the welcome and facilities were great. My wife and I have stayed at many hotels, and this is one of the nicest. The staff couldn't have done more for us. A big thank you and congratulations to the whole team for making our holiday so wonderful.
