Mirror Hotel

The pool was a real pleasure, clean and a lovely temperature, especially pretty at night when it isn't open. The rooms were modern, nicely decorated and clean, with plenty of lighting choices. They refilled the Nespresso pods and milk each day, which was a nice touch. Our ground-floor room opened onto a big terrace overlooking the pool. The bathroom was spacious, though the water pressure was so intense it could hurt your hand if you weren't careful. There was a sliding mosquito screen on the door, although we hardly saw any mosquitoes. The main drawback is the restaurant. Breakfast was identical every day and the ingredients seemed cheap. I really disliked the scrambled eggs, which could have made a better impression if they were improved. Dinner was somewhat better, but still tasted cheaply made and poorly cooked. We never went hungry, and there was always something we could find, so it became tolerable after the initial disappointment. The restaurant staff seemed tired and only minimally friendly. At our table for three rooms, they usually brought just two water bottles, and juice appeared only when someone remembered. One morning, my friend and I left our phones and cigarettes at the table while getting sweets, then found the unopened bottle of water gone. We don't know whether someone from the restaurant or a tourist at the next table took it, but it was odd. The restaurant feels well below four-star standard and disconnected from the otherwise very nice complex. That's the biggest area for improvement. The beach is very narrow, with three rows of sunbeds squeezed in. The sand is fine, but the entry to the sea is rocky, so water shoes are a good idea. There are some sea urchins, though not many on the side where we went; farther in, once the water reaches an average person's neck, it's sandy. Paddle boards are available to rent. Sunbed prices varied a lot depending on how fancy the beach was: we found a set of two with two drinks for 20 euros, but some cost 70 euros. The sea looked lovely and the water was reasonably clear. I'd recommend the hotel if you're not too fussy about food.

The staff were very kind and respectful, and they cleaned our room every day. We enjoyed the tasty meals, and there are spa options as well. A beach is nearby. I give the hotel five stars. If you're going to Greece, come here. It's in Halkidiki, Polykhorno.

We were close to the pool, but our balcony's soundproof reflective windows kept noise out, so the room stayed quiet. It was spacious and always clean. The beach was only a few minutes away on foot, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and easy to reach whenever we needed them. Breakfast and dinner both had lots of fresh choices, which changed daily, and we really enjoyed the food. We'd happily stay at Mirror Hotel again with the family if we return to Polychrono, and would recommend it.

We enjoyed the large, clean pool every day, and the beach was just a short walk away. The location by the sea is lovely, with great service. We chose half-board and liked the breakfast and dinner buffet. Dinner choices changed each evening, and we always found something tasty. The children's options could be better for picky eaters, perhaps with nuggets, pizza slices or burgers, though picky eaters can be hard to satisfy. There are also plenty of places for lunch or dinner just a few minutes outside the hotel. The room minibar was complimentary and stocked with soft drinks and water.
