Captain Georgio Apartments

The Greek hospitality made this stay especially memorable. The whole family welcomed us so warmly that we felt like part of them, not regular hotel guests. They often gave us fresh fruit from their garden, Captain Georgio’s wife cooked us delicious briami, baked vegetables, and Lefteris and his staff took care of us every day. Those moments meant a lot. Mr. Lefteris picked us up at the airport and drove us to the charming, sleepy Poros, telling us about the island and Greek and Kefalonia culture along the way. Since it was early in the season and quiet, we were upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment. For the last two days, we moved to the studio we had originally booked. Everything was spotless and well maintained. The units were cleaned daily and the linens changed every three days. The kitchenette was well equipped, and the mini fridge was a welcome extra. We made breakfast and tea or coffee and enjoyed slow mornings on the spacious balcony. The apartment is right in central Poros, a few steps from beaches, restaurants, taverns, supermarkets, a pharmacy, and a bakery. We rented a car from Captain Georgio and were happy with both the price and the car. Parking is available in the small lot at the apartment or along nearby streets, as locals and other visitors do. If we return to Kefalonia, we’d definitely stay at Captain Georgio Apartments again. Highly recommend!

The peaceful atmosphere made for a wonderfully relaxing holiday. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and cleaned every day; it’s the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed, and it was clearly well maintained. Lefteris was a fantastic host, welcoming, very friendly, and always ready to help. His local suggestions for places to visit, eat, and things to do led us to hidden gems we wouldn’t otherwise have found. We had an amazing stay at Captain Georgio Apartments! ❤️💞

The location was fantastic, two minutes from lovely beaches and just half a minute from a bakery, deli, small supermarket, and fruit and veg shop with amazing olives. I was in a second-floor studio overlooking the orange grove, with a great balcony and mountain and rooftop views. It was immaculate, cleaned daily, and came with fresh sheets and towels. The kitchen was basic but had what I needed, and was spotless too. Georgio and everyone else on his team I met were super friendly. I was traveling solo and wanted to keep things relaxed, so I didn’t hire a car. I stayed nearby or went on boat trips, though I saw a few people rent cars from Georgio and they seemed happy. Honestly, this place is fab.

The location made for a peaceful, relaxing holiday, and in the evenings the garden air was full of jasmine scent. The rooms were spotless and smelled lovely. Mr. Lefteris was kind, genuinely welcoming, and always helpful. Communication with him was excellent from the reservation right through to the day we left. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this place!
