The private pool we rented was a little colder than we'd hoped. Everything else was great: the two bartenders were amazing, the reception women were really nice, and the food and drinks were good. Some rooms have private balconies where you can watch incredible sunsets. Loved it, and I'd absolutely recommend staying there.

The cocktails were always great, and Chris and Mike, the bartenders, were brilliant and so funny. They made the hospitality feel 10/10. Mariam at reception was a star, helping us find great tourist spots and places to go, always smiling and stopping to chat with us. The whole staff was so friendly and welcoming. What an amazing hotel! I 100% recommend Smy Villa and Suites.

The pool area is cute and the restaurant looks picturesque, but the service was terrible. Our rooms hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests when we checked in. We were given two towels, and after I hung mine up to reuse, housekeeping took it. There was no do not disturb option, and when I asked for another towel, they said they were out and seemed irritated with me for asking. The rooms weren't as clean as I'd like, and the shower has zero space, practically forcing you to shower with the door open. It needs an update. I'm not sure if every room in the hotel is like this.

Aside from the view, nothing about the stay was nice. The pool bar staff were very unfriendly, and as the pictures suggest, the room feels like a place to get drunk. It wasn't anything close to nice or up to scratch. I don't know where the good reviews came from. Don't stay here.

The outside patio could be great, but it wasn't clean or maintained at all. Upstairs, even the clothes rack was broken, with rusty nails sticking out. The bathtub was awful, dirty, and rusty too. This place must have been great years ago, but it isn't looked after now. I wouldn't come back. It's really expensive for what you get.
