Genari Beach Apartments

We stayed one night in the garden-view apartment and had everything we needed. It was super clean, the hosts were very friendly, and there were even some very cute kitties!

The apartment is roomy, comfortable, and well equipped, with a separate bedroom and an extra couch in the living room for a third person or a child. The kitchen has what you need. A terrace and garden lead straight to the beach, where you can watch a magnificent sunset over Zakynthos and Kefalonia. Communication was easy with help from translation. The downside is algae on the beach, so it isn't really enjoyable for swimming, though you can get in from the rocks if you want. It's a bit remote, which also makes it very quiet; there's a supermarket about 2 km away, Pyrgos main is 10 minutes away, and Ancient Olympia is 30 minutes away, mostly on a straight main road. GPS is accurate, and a sign marks the entrance to the final stretch leading to the house.

The sea view is amazing from this beautiful seaside property. I stayed four days in a small renovated stone house on the private grounds, and had a great time. It was nicely furnished and decorated, comfortable for two or even four people, with a small but clean, functional bathroom and a very comfy bed. Internet worked well even outside on the little terrace, where there's a table for eating while looking at the sea. There's no washing machine, but laundry can be done easily at no extra cost. The garden is lovely, with many trees and a charming gazebo for sunset watching. It's very quiet and restful. The family living in the nearby house and running the business are friendly but unobtrusive. The nearest taverna is 1.8 km away, Katakolo is 4.5 km away and makes a very nice walk, and there's a nice nearby beach with umbrellas and a bar. There's plenty of parking.

We stayed in an apartment detached from the main house, with its own entrance, at Genari Beach Apartments. The interior was charming and spotless, and we could use the terrace and lovely, quiet big garden. From there you go straight to the seaside, which makes this a special place. I fully recommend it.
