Calmare Suites

We were three people staying at the Calmare suits, and everything was clean and comfortable. The beach was nearby, and each room had proper air conditioning. Mary, the hotel hostess, was very kind and helpful, and we had a wonderful stay. We’d book Calmare suits again if we return to Rethymno, and highly recommend it.

Our host was so kind and welcoming, and the apartment was spacious, modern, and comfortable for our family of four. The location was fantastic, just a two-minute walk from a beautiful beach. Sunbeds were available from the seaside cafés for only €10, drinks included. We had a wonderful stay and would return without hesitation. Highly recommended!

The apartment and location were nice, but there were several drawbacks. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and parking was a real issue: there were only four spaces for roughly twice as many rooms. That could be hard for people who aren’t able-bodied. There was a lot of noise because the walls were so thin. The doors didn’t shut properly either, so a draft when someone opened the front door could make them bang against the wall. Most rooms don’t have a view, looking instead onto nearby houses or construction sites.

We had an incredible time at Calmare suites. The owner was very helpful and guided us during our stay, and the service was amazing. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The hotel is by the sea, with lots of restaurants and cafes just outside. It’s a five-minute drive to the old town, and I highly recommend Calmare suites.
