Eliza Apartments

We enjoyed 12 nights here and thought it was great value for money. The view was lovely, and the owner was great. They have their own parking, though people from across the street sometimes use it. We still always managed to find a space near the street. Really nice people and an awesome view. We'll be back!

I was attending summer school at Crete university, so the location worked especially well for me. Downtown is about a 20-minute walk. I arranged a late check-in beforehand without any trouble, and the room had a beautiful view. I didn't cook, but the kitchen had some equipment. Rooms are cleaned twice a week. Hot water was never a problem, though the internet went out fairly often, which didn't bother me. It's a quiet, friendly, cosy and relatively cheap place, just don't expect a luxury hotel.

We came to Rethymno for a wedding, and the couple arranged a better price for their guests. We booked for three people and asked by phone for a sea-view room. We were told every room had a sea view, but when we arrived the day before the wedding, our room had a large balcony facing the street. At reception, when we explained what we'd been told, the person responded sarcastically that the beach was within walking distance and acted as if it was outrageous to ask for a view from the room. I felt humiliated. They should be ashamed, and I don't recommend this place.

The room was clean and the price was good. Service wasn't very organized, though the staff were polite and helpful. The wi-fi also didn't work well.
