The location was just right, one minute on foot to the sea and about five minutes to the centre of Rethymno. Fouli was so kind and helpful from the start that we felt at home. The room and surroundings were clean and pleasant, and the price was really, really good, especially for a month in the full season. We had a lovely stay and can’t wait to see you again. Thank you :)

The sea view from the balcony was the best part of this one-room apartment. The kitchen and bathroom were small but did the job, and we had a wonderful stay. The hostess was so welcoming and made a real effort to make things pleasant for us. We’d gladly return anytime. Definitely recommend it! :)

Mrs. Fouli welcomed me with water and a little bottle of raki waiting in the room. She’s friendly and helpful, and the apartment is lovely and very clean. It’s also right near the beach. I’d definitely stay there again.

The view was the only positive thing I can mention. We picked this place because of its Booking score of 9 and the view, but the photos on Booking made it look better than it was. The mattress wasn’t comfortable for us, and the bathroom had wall-mounted taps coming loose, moldy tiles, a rusty tub and a drain cover that was disgustingly dirty even after cleaning. The kitchen cupboard smelled, the extractor hood was disgustingly greasy, and the radiator was rusty too. We felt cheated, and it cast a shadow over our whole vacation. This accommodation doesn’t deserve a 9 on Booking.
