Athina was a lovely hostess, always available whenever we had a question. The room looked just like the pictures and was great, though the bathroom felt a little small for the room’s size. The location made it easy to wander the city’s little streets, and the beach is fairly close. There are several paid parking options near the hotel. We had a perfect stay.

Athena went out of her way to help my wife and me, even sending her brother to the pharmacy for my medicine when I wasn’t feeling well. She was so sweet and helpful with everything we asked for, and the service was excellent. The suite was a great choice, tucked into a nice little spot in the old city. It was well above what I expected. God bless you, Athena. We’ll stay here again whenever we come back to Rethymno.

We’d recommend Grande Madonna Luxury Boutique Suites to anyone, and we’ll be back on our next trip to Crete. It’s right in the old town, among restaurants and shops, and about a 10-minute walk from Rethymnon beach. The hosts are wonderful, cheerful, open-hearted people who were always helpful. The hotel was immaculately clean, with spacious, comfortable rooms and everything we needed. There’s also a small jacuzzi garden where you can relax. It may be the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

Athina was lovely and gave us good suggestions for beaches and tavernas. When I asked for an extra blanket, it arrived in less than five minutes. Even though the hotel is in town, the soundproofing kept it very quiet day and night. We stayed five nights with my husband on our second trip to Crete. We arrived late on the first night, and Athina’s father was waiting for us on the street, which was kind and helpful since it can be confusing when you first arrive. Our ground-floor room had a terrace leading to the pool. It smelled amazing, was super clean, and had stunning decor and everything we needed. The AC worked perfectly. Definitely recommend staying here!
