Lefkoniko Bay

The location is good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, though outdated, and didn’t have tea or coffee facilities or an iron. The food was the main letdown. It was lukewarm at best and overcooked. If you have food allergies, this hotel is a no-go. I’m finding it hard to sum up the place beyond those mixed points.

The room, the hotel, and the people working here were all perfect.

Being just 50 m from the beach is what made this hotel work for us. The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast changed each day. I suspect some items may have been left over from dinner, but the fruit, bread and other things were fresh, so that didn’t bother me. During our seven nights, the sheets were changed once and we got clean towels four times. The rooms are dated, though mostly clean. The facilities felt closer to three stars than four, but the location makes up for a lot. I’d recommend it if you want a great spot and aren’t expecting much luxury.

There were flies around the food, which was alright, and the room had poor noise insulation: you could hear people talking when you were near their door. On the first floor, privacy was bad too, with only curtains and glass that barely closed. The room door was broken. We found a cockroach on our first day, then another one two hours later. People had said for years that the hotel was unhygienic and looked bad, but it seems they don’t care. The staff were friendly, at least. I don’t recommend it.
