Ilian Beach

There were lots of cats around, and we appreciated having private parking. The parking rules were the one issue: even with spaces available, we often had trouble because you have to use specific spots and the rules seemed strange. Otherwise, everything was great and we were very satisfied. The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located, with a private beach you can go straight to and the old town within walking distance. The people are nice too. Hopefully we’ll return.

There are plenty of restaurants, tourist shops and supermarkets or grocers nearby, and they stay open until about 9pm, which was handy for us. The hotel is around 3km from Rethymno center, and the walk there is especially enjoyable in the evening. My family and I stayed at Ilian beach & apartments for four nights in August. The staff greeted us warmly and made sure the room worked for three people. We were close to both the pool and beach. It’s convenient for amenities and has a small parking area where we could leave our car safely. I’d definitely stay again. Thank you to all the staff!

Maria was a superstar, and the whole ILIAN team were genuinely friendly and polite. You relax as soon as you arrive. The pool was a great size, the rooms were spotless and spacious, and the pool bar service was amazing. We loved, loved, loved our stay. It’s peaceful, about a 30-minute walk from the main promenade with its bars, restaurants and shops. There are supermarkets and bakeries nearby, plus a few family-run restaurants. Highly recommend booking. We’ll be back, like most people who’ve stayed here.

Elias and Maria were especially helpful, and the whole staff were so service-minded and always there when we needed them. It’s a lovely place, and we’ll definitely come back. Love from Annika, Georges and the other eight people who travelled with us.
