Auberge 32 | Old Town

For what it costs, I expected more. I liked the building’s unusual architecture, but the stone walls made the rooms really hot, and our standard room was small. Breakfast was okay, and there wasn’t daily cleaning. We also had to contact the hotel when we arrived because things seemed unorganized. It’s an average option in the old town, though I think better value can be found elsewhere.

This was just what I needed for a short stay. The rooms are simple but have everything you need, and they’re in a lovely building on a quiet, well-lit street. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a nice way to start the day. It’s within walking distance of the main sights and restaurants in Rhodes Old Town, and I found it to be the best value place to stay there. Glad I came across it.

For a lovely room at a good price, this hotel in Rhodes old town is a nice find. Stefano gave us a warm welcome and we enjoyed our stay. A few things could be better, though. The open terrace works well in dry weather, but when it rains, water gets in and the hotel turns into a puddle. We had water enter our room. Rain also brought a bad smell from the toilet. There was some construction nearby, so it was a bit noisy. And a large emergency light made the room bright at night. Even covering it with a towel didn’t help.

The owner was very helpful, and even though I booked at the last minute, I found a room. The hotel is central. I’ll always remember my morning conversations with Ms. Kalliopi while she made breakfast. She was incredibly kind and helped me with everything. On my last day, she even took two bags from me and carried them a long way through Old Town. She wouldn’t let me carry them. God bless you, I hope I find you well when I come back.
