Manousos City Hotel

The elevator was the biggest problem for me. It’s very old, slow, tiny, and shaky, and really needs replacing as soon as possible. The rooms also aren’t soundproof: you hear everything in the hall, including the elevator across from my room, and a gap under my door let light in. Earplugs are a good idea. Breakfast came with my stay, but it ended at 10 a.m., so I never got up for it. I’m on holiday to relax, not to wake up early and rush to breakfast. There was a kettle, tea, sugar, and a mini fridge, but no water bottle in the room, which seemed odd. The location is just okay, about a 10-15 minute walk from the center and beach, and the old buildings around it don’t help the atmosphere. That said, I had a very positive stay at Manousos City Hotel for three nights in January. I was allowed to check in early, and the room was ready, which was a relief after an early start and a tiring journey. It was in great shape: a big bed with clean sheets, two sets of towels, clean floors, a pleasant fresh smell, and a nice bathroom. There was also a huge mirror, working TV and AC, desk, bedside tables, chair, hair dryer, kettle, mini fridge, and a large balcony. The room was cleaned daily. The free public WiFi was strong most of the time. The cleaning staff were kind, cheerful, chatty, welcoming, and helpful with questions. The woman at reception was kind and professional too, though the man wasn’t very talkative. Breakfast aside, my complaints didn’t ruin the stay. For a short, more affordable visit to Rhodes, it’s a reasonable option, with clean rooms and friendly staff. I’d stay again. Thanks to the staff who made the visit so good.

Good value for money, with comfortable rooms and friendly staff providing good service. The location in Rhodos town is excellent. I’d highly recommend it for a holiday or business trip.

This could suit people who like nightlife, since music plays outside until 4 a.m., but it may be too noisy for anyone wanting a quiet stay. The hotel is well placed, just a short walk from the beach, with restaurants and shops nearby. It also has a lovely pool and bar. The rooms, though, were disappointing, very small and outdated. The listing mentioned parking, but it turned out to be street parking only. Other guests made a lot of noise in the hallway at night, running, shouting, laughing, and slamming doors. We were woken several times. The receptionists were polite and kind, and made check-in pleasant. They also helped by moving us to a room that was a little bigger and much quieter.

Close to everything, with a lovely pool area and nice staff. It’s very affordable for a good quality hotel, and surprisingly quiet despite being near the bar street. I’d come again 🥳
