Oceanis Hotel

The beach is right nearby, though it’s a little pebbly, and the setting is beautiful and quiet. Rodos/Rhodes centre is a short ride away, about €2.50 by bus or roughly €10 by taxi, and there’s plenty of history to explore there. Lindos Acropolis and the island of Symi are good excursion options. We visited in April/May and had no trouble finding sunbeds. The pools and hotel were clean, and the tennis court was good. Booking it was free, with a €10 deposit for equipment. The staff were wonderful. Food choices were broad, though themed dinners such as Chinese, Italian or barbecue could be limiting if you’re a fussy eater. I still found something tasty every time, and the desserts were amazing. Breakfast had pretty much anything you could want. Our room was clean and functional, though a bit basic, with a TV offering limited channels, mostly news, as well as a kettle and hairdryer. The balcony had a table and two chairs for enjoying the view.

The food was a real highlight. It was buffet style, as you’d expect at a hotel serving large groups, but every dish we tried had plenty of flavour. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, dinner and the snacks. A few things weren’t to our taste, but that was personal preference. With six serving tables there was something for everyone. The dining hall was spotless, and the friendly, chatty staff always greeted us. The manager, whose name I didn’t catch, was especially good at keeping the team in sync, clearing tables and seating people quickly according to their preferences. I hope someone at Oceanis passes on my thanks. The pool and outdoor areas were kept in great shape. I saw the pool attendant starting work around 6 in the morning, vacuuming carefully for well over an hour, and he also checked the water in the evening after the pool closed. A real credit to the hotel. We had a superior double room with a sea-view terrace. It was immaculate, with a modern smart TV that worked with our Fire TV Stick, a lovely bathroom with a power shower, and a soft, spacious bed. The cleaners did a lovely job each day. The lobby staff made arranging transfers easy and answered our questions. The hotel’s website photos were unusually accurate. Oceanis Beach Hotel felt well worth its four stars, maybe even five, and had everything we wanted right by the sea. The location, room, pools, food and staff made this a special first visit to Rhodes and Greece. You could pay a lot more elsewhere and get less. We’ll definitely stay again and look forward to seeing everyone. Thank you!

The sea-view balcony was beautiful, and the beach was lovely. Rooms were pleasant, with comfy beds, though the twin bed setup was a little annoying. The shower can flood if you leave it running too long. Staff were kind, communicative and supportive, and the cleaners were amazing. There was a good range of warm food, including traditional dishes, and the entertainment worked well for adults and children. The team got the audience involved. Local shops were close by, and Rhodes Old/New Town was a beautiful 15-minute bus ride away. I’d highly recommend staying here and would absolutely come back ❤️

I was impressed with the hotel during my week-long birthday stay. Maria and Carlos in the restaurant stood out: both were attentive, kind and always smiling. Carlos kept checking that guests were all right and took initiative with clearing tables, helping the restaurant run smoothly. I loved my room and the food too.
