Mitsis Grand Hotel Rhodes

The staff were welcoming everywhere, from reception to the bars and restaurants. We stayed here while visiting Rhodes and loved this beautiful hotel, which is very close to Rhode's old town.

We booked a family room for July 2024, and the front office team greeted us so cheerfully. They offered us a free room upgrade, which we appreciated, and we loved the view from the new room. The food was good, and we enjoyed the à la carte restaurants too. The main restaurant waiters paid attention to the tables and communicated well with our kids, even though they didn't speak the same languages. We'd like to come back this summer, but the hotel is being restored, so we hope to stay next year.

We had a fabulous Golden Wedding Anniversary here and would happily return. We made use of all three pools, enjoyed the evening entertainment, and got attentive service from the bar staff. The meals were delicious, with plenty of variety, and we liked dining in the different settings. Our room was amazing, with sea views. On arrival, we were given sparkling wine and a delicacy, a generous and much appreciated gesture. The cleaners were friendly and efficient, bringing fresh towels for the room and pool every day. The dining staff were helpful and cheerful, even while working so hard.

George, the bellboy, greeted us when we arrived and was very helpful, with excellent English. The rest of the service team, from reception and bellboys to the dining room, bar, and housekeeping, were courteous, quick to deal with issues, and spoke good English too. Cleanliness was clearly a priority: the rooms, dining room, and pool area were cleaned very well, sanitizer stations were everywhere, and towels were changed during the day instead of making us wait until morning. The dining room had tasty, high quality food and lots of choice. I tried three of the hotel's eight restaurants, but found their food much less enjoyable, dry, and not well prepared. Still, this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in, and I'd highly recommend it.
