Orion Houses

The staff were very friendly, and our welcome was lovely, with food and wine waiting in the fridge. The room was okay, with decent beds and very good air conditioning, but the bathroom design is awkward. Water covered the floor when we showered because of where the shower head is placed. The kitchen worked for simple lunches, though you'll need to bring your own dish soap and sponge. I expected a quiet, relaxing stay, but the tiny pool filled up quickly. People started reserving sunbeds with towels before bedtime in the second week. The hotel could set more pool rules, even if the towel situation isn't their fault. Children and adults were constantly playing with large volleyballs in the water, so swimming or relaxing wasn't possible. The grass area wasn't peaceful either, with grownups playing football right beside us. At least our pool didn't have loud music, though the hotel next door played it very loudly. The food was okay, but I wouldn't suggest staying here if you have allergies since there was no ingredient information for any dishes. You also have to cross a very busy road to reach the beach. There are crossing points, but few cars stop. We recommend renting a car to see more of the island. The bus was difficult, always full, and had no timetable information. If swimming is what you're after, this place isn't for you.
