Klima Paradise

A lovely spot for some downtime beside a tucked-away beach that feels almost like it’s just for you. It works for families and anyone else looking to relax. The people are super nice, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the food is delicious.

We stopped by on May 24 and found the apartments apparently empty, despite being told in February that everything was booked for May and June. We’d been looking forward to visiting Klima Paradise because we’ve loved Samos and Klima bay for years. We ended up staying in Marathokampos instead, which is also a lovely place, and we were curious to see the renovations. There was no sign of the lively atmosphere we remembered. It felt deserted, and hospitality seemed to have disappeared. It was sad to see such a dramatic change. We tried sitting on the terrace for a drink and maybe lunch. The owner was there and saw us, but didn’t welcome us, bring a menu, or offer anything to drink. He eventually turned his chair away from us. After 15 minutes, we left. There were no umbrellas on the terrace to give guests shade, either. Getting a reservation had already been confusing, with several emails from Klima paradise saying the apartments were fully booked. The whole visit was a disappointment. I don’t understand how the owner thinks this is a way to treat returning or new guests. He needs to take the business seriously or let someone else develop and run what could be a fantastic beach place. We won’t be coming back to Klima Paradise anytime soon.

The beach was noisy, with customers yelling during the day, so there was no peace. The sunbeds were broken and uncomfortable, too. Prices felt high: a salad costs 10 Euros here, compared with 5 at Psili Amos. I’d go somewhere else.

The water is crystal clear down to 40 feet, which makes it great for swimming and snorkelling. Locals favour this beach, and it shows Samos and Greece at their best. Stratos, who hosts at Klima Paradise, adds to the experience, along with the owners Michaelas and Ruth. It’s a beautiful, tucked-away setting, with a beachside Taverna, 6 apartments and 1 small villa. You could travel around the Greek islands for years, then find Samos and klima Paradise and want to return year after year.
