Divino Suites

The patio was beautiful, the hot tub was a nice extra, and both the views and the peaceful outdoor space were lovely. It’s also a good location, just a short walk from the main street. But the room itself made the stay extremely disappointing. There was a bad smell as soon as we entered, and it never went away. The bathroom was the biggest shock. It wasn’t shown in the booking photos, and I understand why. Maybe it’s a cultural setup or something I should have researched, but I wasn’t prepared for a shower that was basically the whole bathroom, with the floor as the drain. I had to put toiletries on the tiny sink beside the toilet and the trash can for used toilet paper, since flushing it isn’t allowed, which I knew beforehand. The bathroom smelled of mold, and gnats and flies covered the ceiling. I asked if they could spray the room because the bugs were out of control. The response was nonchalant, they said they’d tell housekeeping. I saw no improvement, and kept the bathroom door shut as much as I could. Showering each night felt daunting, and instead of relaxing on our free day, we booked a 10 hour excursion just to get out of the room. I couldn’t wait for the stay to end. The outdoor space has potential, but the room experience ruined it for me, and I wouldn’t stay again. I’ve attached a photo and video of the bathroom since it wasn’t represented online.

Anna was a huge help, arranging airport taxis and rides for our day trips, and sharing lots of useful advice about the area. A lovely bonus was being able to spend a day at the pool at Divino Caldera. We had everything we needed in the beautifully decorated suite, and housekeeping came daily, so toiletries and coffee were always replenished. The location was great, with lots to do nearby, and the view was amazing. We had a wonderful stay at Divino Suites and absolutely recommend it.

The staff were kind and recommended some great restaurants, which helped make the stay very satisfying. They also upgraded my room for free, and the hot tub was comfortable even in the middle of winter. The location was quiet, though a bit far from the city center to walk. The road was quite hilly, so carrying heavy luggage was a little difficult.

I stayed here with my girlfriend for a few days and had a great time. The rooms were perfect, and I loved the Jacuzzi and the view. It’s in one of the best locations, within walking distance of the center. Book direct if you can, since it’s cheaper and comes with some other benefits.
