Elounda Heights - Adults Only

The views are breathtaking in every direction, and the pool area feels wonderfully peaceful. The food was excellent, too. Elounda Heights is spotlessly clean and very well maintained, with a really friendly and helpful staff. A fabulous place to stay. Thank you to everyone at Elounda Heights x

The staff were absolutely amazing and made this a stay I won’t forget. The rooms were clean and well kept, with comfortable beds and powerful showers. There’s a steep walk up the hill, but the incredible views make it worthwhile. The town centre is very close, and there are plenty of taxis for the ride up. Food at the pool bar and evening restaurant is fantastic, home cooked local dishes, plus delicious cocktails and a good choice of local craft beers.

The pool is unheated, but chlorine free, clean and lovely for a dip. There are plenty of sunloungers around the tranquil pool area, and the views from Elounda Heights across Mirabello Bay to Spinalonga island are stunning. Breakfast at the pool bar is a relaxing way to start the day, with table service, a menu for all tastes, bread, home grown and homemade preserves, and freshly baked pies and cakes. Evenings are a treat, especially Vangelis’s special, which brings out wonderful flavour in meat or fish. Thursday is meze and wine night. Kostas introduces each wine knowledgeably, and it comes with a dish chosen to complement it. We keep coming back to this lovely hotel, and each visit seems better. Staying here feels like being looked after by old friends. Kostas, Natalia and the team put a huge amount of work into making guests comfortable and welcome, even though they make it look easy. The hotel has plenty of return visitors, which says a lot about its relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are airy and well equipped, with effective air conditioning. Christina keeps them spotless, and the towels and bedding are changed regularly. The beds are incredibly comfortable, with expensive Greek made mattresses that we wish we could get in the UK. Thank you, in no particular order, to Kostas, Natalia, Vangelis, Ann, Katerina, Christina, Ritsa, George, Eleni, Clio (Yamas!), and Manos. Sorry to anyone I’ve missed. We’re looking forward to seeing you all again.

We were grateful to stay here, and found it a very restful place. It’s a moderately priced, small hotel of 19 units, suited to older adults, at the top of a tall hill. Elounda town is a six minute walk away. The quiet, traffic free setting and lovely views made it easy to relax and recharge. The units were sparkling clean, with a small fridge and cutlery. The beds had high thread count linens and excellent mattresses, and there were pillows in different softnesses to suit your comfort. The owners are very detail oriented and do their best to give guests a good experience. All the staff work hard to accommodate people, which we really appreciated. Breakfast has been covered in other reviews, but it deserves emphasis. It was amazing, with a full English breakfast among the options. The restaurants in Elounda were also amazing. We tried Poulos and the Ferryman and would recommend both. Go for seafood such as the catch of the day, which was excellent. Evenings in Elounda are lovely, and most couples dress up, so it isn’t casual at night. This hotel is a strong recommendation if it suits what you’re looking for in a restful stay.
