Elounda Orama Boutique Hotel

The location is handy, close to Elounda centre and the promenade, and the staff were nice. Still, I don’t recommend it for an all-inclusive stay. Food choices were limited and only a few dishes tasted good. Towels were meant to be changed every three days, but ours were still there after four, and changed only when we asked reception. At hotels we’ve visited, every two days was standard. There’s nowhere comfortable to sit at a table for an after-dinner drink, and the air conditioner is right above the bed, so we had to switch it off at night. If you leave late in the evening, hotel food and drinks cost extra. It isn’t worth the price or the four-star rating.

We had a nice stay, and the staff were lovely, friendly, and polite. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice. We definitely recommend it. Best wishes, Angie.

The reception team were friendly and the location was good, but our room requests were ignored. We had asked for separate beds and were given a double. I understand there may not have been another room available, so we requested separate sheets instead. That worked for three days, then on day four we were back to square one. The bathroom had no door, so it couldn’t be closed at all. Meals were basic hotel food, with little Greek choice beyond Greek salad and one meat dish. At lunch there was only one set of cutlery, and we had to wipe it ourselves to use it for other dishes. Towels were supposed to be fresh every three days; after four days we asked reception, and they arrived the next day. Having to ask again and again for anything gets exhausting.

The pool was amazing, and I loved that dogs are allowed. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Our favorite was the morning chef Pablos, what a character!
