The hotel itself was fine, and at first the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was odd, though, because there was no curtain and we couldn’t work out how to wash without getting water everywhere. We had planned to give the cleaning lady a €20 tip, but after she went into the bathroom she suddenly seemed quite rude. We changed our minds and decided not to leave anything.

The sea view from our room was amazing, and there’s a big parking lot. It’s close to everything, with the sea five minutes away, a supermarket three minutes away and lots of decent taverns nearby. The quality for the price is just amazing. The host and staff were the best, so nice and helpful with everything we asked, from food suggestions to helping us rent a car. We’ll definitely come back.

The only downside was getting there by bus from the airport. The street is so narrow the bus can’t go up, so you have to walk uphill with your luggage. Otherwise, I loved the location and seeing the sea whenever I stepped onto the balcony. The staff were kind and friendly, the studios had plenty of space, and the kitchen was equipped well enough for simple meals. I really appreciated the cleaning too.

It’s very clean, friendly and affordable, and it makes a good base for a couple with a car who want to explore the island. The area is quiet, though there aren’t many places to eat or drink. The nearest typical resort area, with shops, restaurants and bars, is about 30 minutes on foot or 5 by car. I’m looking at it as a parent with kids aged 6 and 8. The pool is nice, but feels small when two kids are splashing around. My main gripe is that a road goes through the hotel between the pool and bar. Most people may not mind, and it isn’t a busy road, but I wouldn’t let my kids cross it alone to get an ice cream. Aside from my moaning, it’s a very nice hotel with friendly staff.
