Panorama New Generation

We booked and paid for a balcony room with a side sea view at Panorama New Generation Hotel in Crete. Instead, we were given a ground-floor room facing rocks, with a terrace that had no privacy. It was also a connecting room, divided from the next one by a thin door with no sound insulation. We could hear our neighbors talking clearly, even though they weren’t speaking loudly. The staff were rude, unfriendly and no help when we raised this. They dismissed us instead of trying to solve the problem or showing any empathy. The emergency hotline didn’t pick up until our third call, and even then we got no real assistance. We contacted both the hotel and Booking.com several times, but neither took responsibility. We eventually filed a chargeback with our bank and won. That says a lot about how unfairly we were treated. This was honestly one of our worst travel experiences. I’d strongly recommend avoiding the place. Crete has plenty of beautiful hotels where guests are treated kindly and fairly, and this wasn’t one of them.
