Eleni Apartments

We stayed in apartment no. 1. There were loads of ants in the kitchen, and even some in the bed. The outside terrace had a 200W light that couldn’t be switched off, and worst of all, dogs started barking at dawn every single day. There was no toaster. The cups, plates, pans, fridge, and AC were all okay.

Really, really nice.

The pool is lovely, with plenty of space, and it’s tucked away at the back, so it’s quiet and looks out toward the mountains. It was also practically the only spot where the Wi-Fi worked well. The road is very busy and traffic moves fast, making it noisy and hard to get safely out of the parking lot, which has walls and bushes on both sides. Room 1 faces the road and parking lot, and there’s no privacy on the patio because everyone walks past.

The pool is wonderfully quiet, and the best place to sit, in my opinion, is at the far end, with views of the garden and mountains. There are plenty of loungers and umbrellas, plus a beautiful garden. Maria’s has ice cream and drinks. Parking is usually available at the apartment on the private property. Nearby there’s a small beach with loungers and an umbrella for €10 for two, along with a freshwater shower, changing room, clean toilet, and vendors selling fruit and donuts. There’s also a bakery within walking distance, plus restaurants and shops. It’s a very relaxing spot. A heads up: the village is small and doesn’t have a particularly pleasant boulevard. The apartments sit on a busy main road used by all village traffic, so front terraces get a lot of noise. The garden or pool facing terraces and balconies avoid it, and it’s lovely and quiet by the pool. Cars go fast, so take care when leaving the property. We stayed in apartment 1, the first one. It looks over the parking area and busy road, and everyone passes by its terrace, so there’s no privacy outside. Wi-Fi was excellent for the first three days, then disappeared completely, though that’s a minor problem. At the pool, the connection was excellent.
