Angelina Hotel

A good place to come with friends or family, right by the port of Ormos. The rooms were clean and breakfast was decent. It's a summer holiday worth doing again. Have fun!

We liked the hotel's fresh, modern look after its recent renovation. The carefully chosen colors go well with the sea's blue, and the rooms are kept neat. Service at the hotel, restaurant, and bar was attentive and very good, with everyone being helpful and nice. Great location and value, and we'll definitely return!

The garden was one of my favorite parts, romantic and cozy, with places to rest under pomegranate and olive trees. The paved areas were spotless, and the parking and walking paths were clearly marked. Parking costs 5€ a day, which seems reasonable. The hotel grounds are wheelchair accessible, and restaurants and a small market are nearby. It's a central, seafront hotel in Ormos Panagias, with a little beach right outside for anyone who doesn't feel like going to the more distant beaches. The property has clearly had a lot invested in it, and they've done a great job turning it into an attractive place to stay. I think it deserves at least four stars and has huge potential for the near future. Our room was clean, tidy, cozy, spacious, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was the best part: modern, perfectly clean, with nice ambient lighting and a shower offering plenty of options. Rooms were cleaned and disinfected every day. We were in the first-floor room in the second building, listed as having a “Direct Sea View,” but from its balcony you could barely see the sea. Rooms in the first building really do have sea views. If staying in the second building, I'd book a side sea view or garden view instead. There was no hairdryer in the room, so we had to ask reception for one. On some days housekeeping came very late, at 1:30 PM, and if we got back from the beach early, we had to wait outside the room or on the balcony. Breakfast didn't start until 8:00 AM, which is late if you want an early beach trip, and I think 7:00 AM would work better. There were various pastries, and breakfast was rich and varied, but it was mostly pastry based and the same every day. It got dull and repetitive, and I got tired of the smell quickly. There weren't many alternatives to choose from. They could add fruit, salami, better quality sour cream, more desserts, different coffee options since instant was the only one, grilled vegetables, and an English breakfast. The jam tasted artificial and chemical to me, and seemed poor quality. The receptionists were polite and kind. Their English wasn't very good, but they really tried to be professional and help with anything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay, and I'd recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Ormos Panagias. These are friendly suggestions that could help them improve even more.

We slept very well, thanks to a comfortable bed, and the room was clean with a large bathroom, ample wardrobe, dressing table, and fridge. Although the hotel is on the main street next to restaurants, no noise came through to our room at night. There's a small beach right in front and a larger, nicer one just over the hill. Parking is limited, so if you're arriving by car, it's worth asking the hotel about availability beforehand. Maria at reception was especially lovely to chat with. She recommended romantic spots around the area and even went out of her way to post our postcards. The other reception ladies were extremely polite and helpful too. The young men at the breakfast cafe and bar were just as friendly and had great suggestions for what to do, especially the two brothers from Thessaloniki. Go grab a coffee from them! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.
