Giovanni Group Apartments

The village has plenty of Greek taverns, shops and bakeries, and there are some lovely beaches close by. Zavia is about a five-minute walk and Mega Amos around ten minutes. We drove roughly 20 minutes to Arillas Beach, which was beautiful, uncrowded, and had clean, shallow water that worked perfectly for our toddler. This was our second stay at Giovanni, and we already know we’ll return. The garden, beaches and little village make the place wonderful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, and Evan and his mother were lovely as always, helping us whenever we needed anything. We had such a good time and found our peace here. The outdoor space and view were nice, but the furniture felt quite old. Inside, the room could have been laid out better, and we didn’t have a closet. On our last day we found ants in the bed, on our clothes, and in our hair. When we raised it, all we got was a very dry “okay.” There’s clearly room for improvement.

It’s a calm, pleasant place, but the rooms need some improvement. We paid 120 euros a night, which seemed like a normal price, though the bed was two single beds pushed together. In one room we woke to ants all over the bed. It was really disturbing, and when we told the owner, he just said “okay.”

Getting back from the beach meant climbing some very steep hills, which was exhausting, especially after a night out. Still, I had a great eight-day stay. The rooms were clean and came with everything we needed, including towels, toiletries and a hairdryer.
