Aristotelis Hotel

I booked a room through Booking. Someone from the staff called me on Viber and said my card hadn't gone through, even though it's an unlimited credit card. He kept pressuring me to pay through internal links, which I don't trust because I want Booking.com to protect me. When I said the card was working and that I'd used it in another country, Macedonia, he got angry and corrected me, saying there was no country by that name. I'm American with Macedonian heritage, and I bet he thought I was only American. I came to your country without judging anyone. We're all people under the same sky, and I was a victim of nationalism. I want to be treated with respect regardless of the political disputes between our countries. Please be kinder and more respectful to your guests. You never know who's on the other end of the phone. I also don't think it was professional for this person to try to avoid paying Booking's fees. Stop sending those unsafe internal links!

The girls working at the bar and reception just seemed to follow the manager's example, and the whole place felt unprofessional and unwelcoming, including toward children. The manager or owner was rude and had no sense of the service a hotel should provide. He even used an expletive and racist words toward someone in our group. I've never seen anything like that anywhere. The hotel, rooms, and location were average. The rooms were dated and had the smallest TV I've ever seen. The smoke detector in our room had its battery removed. Breakfast was exactly the same each day during our five-day stay. I'm giving it one star only because zero isn't an option. Stay somewhere else, there are plenty of other choices.

The owner was very unpleasant. He shouted at me and said I should go home if I didn't like something. He asked where I was from, and when I said Ukraine, he told me to go back to my place.

The location is good, and the rooms are okay. But the beds are terrible, barely big enough for two adults, and the shower is so cramped you can hardly turn around. Breakfast is very poor and exactly the same every day, with no fruit or dessert. If you arrive late, there probably won't be much left to eat.
