What stood out was how kind Mrs Helen I was. She tidied the place every day and was welcoming and kind, unlike few people I’ve met. The apartment was quiet, spotless, and had everything I needed, with all new items. It was just a short walk from the sea, set in a quiet garden with fruit-bearing trees and flower beds everywhere. You can park in the garden, and each apartment has its own little shaded sitting area and a line for hanging wet swimwear. The extra-wide double bed was a treat. I loved that the place was exactly as advertised and would definitely go back for the rooms and the kindness shown to me.

The family running the place was the real highlight. Yanis, the owner, Eleni, his wife, and Marianthi, his daughter, were helpful and friendly, and sorted out any problems we had. We stayed about four weeks. The apartments are modern, all on the ground floor, and surrounded by a garden. Everything was clean and well done, and they had all the things you need in an apartment. The location is central in Lesbos. With a car, Sigri, Erasou, and Plomari are about 1:15-1:45 hours away. Vatera, Mithilene, Petra, and the north-west part of the island are about 45 minutes away.

Really friendly host, lovely people! The room was super clean, and every day they made the bed, cleaned the bathroom and toilet, and did our dishes. The stay itself is basic, though, and there aren’t many cooking essentials. We only had one pan and one pot.

The sea in the Gulf of Kalloni was so shallow and muddy that it was the only thing that might put us off. Otherwise, Marianthi and her mother are great hosts, and the decoration is tasteful with a perfect garden. Excellent, the best in Skala Kallonis. This would be our only choice in Lesbos if not for the sea.
