To Kyma

This is a great little restaurant, just a short walk from the harbor. The lunch was good and well priced.

Set by the quiet shore, this place serves generous plates of excellent Greek food. We had octopus in red wine, shrimp in garlic sauce, fava, and string beans with spinach. A real Greek food fiesta.

The food was fresh and a delight to eat, and there were swallows flying in and out. The atmosphere at taverna To Kyma is friendly and relaxed, with beautiful Greek music. It's around 800 m. from the harbor. I highly recommend it, you won't regret it.

Our dinner yesterday was a real pleasure. Everything we ordered was delicious and came in generous portions, and the service was kind and attentive. Vasilis took such good care of us, which we really appreciated. The octopus was the one dish that felt a little different to us. We learned it's prepared in a style unique to Midilli Island. It was still very tasty, just a bit firm for our taste. We especially loved the amazing zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese. The grilled and fried calamari were both delicious, and the shrimp linguine at the end was simply perfect. We were full, but kept eating it! The place also had a lovely ambiance. Thank you for your great work. One note about getting there: we're staying in the shade of Mithimna. The map suggested a shorter route by the seaside, so we followed it, but it was a rocky path and took us about 25 minutes on foot. We recommend avoiding it. The second option on the map takes about three minutes longer, but goes along the upper road and is much easier and more comfortable for reaching the restaurant.
