One of the best parts of our relaxing holiday was the beautiful bay at the bottom of the hill. There’s no sand, so I wouldn’t call it a beach, and the road down is steep in places. They can take you down in a buggy cart if needed, though there are still some steps to reach the water. The sea was clear and sparkling, with lots of fish to see and swim alongside. There’s also a free shuttle, about a six-minute drive, to the nearest beach. We stayed ten nights on half board, and both the food and hospitality were superb. There was always plenty of choice, hot or cold, and the standard was much better than we expected from a place that also caters to all-inclusive guests. The staff were lovely and helpful. There are quite a few steps down to the main pool, but there’s also a really lovely smaller pool at reception level, and a lift between the hotel floors.

We spent four nights here in July, and it was a really relaxing stay. Our room was spotless and spacious, with a lovely balcony for sitting outside in the warm evenings. Staff were fantastic, and there was something to do each day and night. We had lots of fun at the quiz on the terrace. The on-site shop came in handy for snacks, beach gear, and souvenirs. The resort has a huge pool area with plenty of sunbeds, a poolside bar serving all sorts of drinks, including cocktails, and access to swim in the sea at the bottom. We chose half board, with buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The cuisine changed daily, and the selection, taste, and quality were all great. They were very accommodating about gluten allergies too. There’s also an à la carte restaurant for a romantic meal overlooking the resort and surrounding area. The resort shuttle to Skala beach is well worth taking. The beach is lovely, with sunbeds where the attendants can bring food and drinks to you. Skala town, right by the beach, is nice to explore and has some fantastic restaurants and bars. I’d highly recommend the resort for the food, staff, and laid-back feel.

The location is incredible, and the hotel itself is lovely. Staff were polite and always ready to help. Lifeguard Niki was especially kind and welcoming with the children, helping them feel safe and at ease. I’d highly recommend it to families looking for a memorable getaway.

Every evening there were activities at the hotel, which made our stay really enjoyable, especially since it’s a bit far from the center. The rooms were clean, service was very good, and the food was fresh and tasty, with something new each day. Highly recommend.

We booked six nights on half board for the last week of August, and the stay was a big disappointment. In my opinion, this isn’t a five-star hotel, maybe three. Our first room was old and shabby, with torn sheets, dirty surfaces, spider webs, and just a tiny glimpse of the sea. I asked straight away to change rooms but was told there wasn’t another option. Later that evening, I found the air conditioning didn’t work either. After I complained again, they moved us to the room next door two days later. The buffet was bland and uninspiring. I’ve had better Greek food in London. Food often ran out, and the staff seemed rushed and inattentive. Our orange juice and lemonade, for example, arrived after we’d finished the main course. We also requested a late checkout and were charged €80. On our last day, I got food poisoning, which I believe was from the meat. I mentioned it and showed it to reception while handing in the keys, and all I got was an apology. We felt the experience fell far below expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. In my honest opinion, there are much better places to spend your money.
