Pension Meteora

The owner was nowhere to be found, and in four days we didn't see her once to tell her we were unhappy. The room was very dirty, especially the toilet, which hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. The worst part was the evening cockroach party. If there's a problem, at least spray something. You're taking our money, we're not staying for free. The one positive was the location, very close to the centre.

The guesthouse's main strengths are its location and view. It's near station 0, where you can catch buses to most of the island's beaches. And for plane-spotting enthusiasts, it's heaven in the all-inclusive version: you can watch every landing and take-off at the famous airport in Skiathos. I posted a picture of the view. Despite some less favourable reviews, I found it a pleasant surprise. The furniture is a bit old and some of it doesn't work, but the room and linens were clean. There's a kitchenette, and you can make coffee in the room. The bathroom works, though it has a bit of the feel of Romanian seaside hotels that had their heyday in the '70s.

Mrs. Olga was so kind, and we really appreciated being allowed to leave the room late. The room was lovely, with a harbor view, and the location was very good. I'd recommend it.

We lasted about ten minutes in the room at pensione meteora accommodation before leaving. It was even dirtier than the accommodation we had been staying in, which was managed by the travel agency la travel and had led to us being transferred. Please stop claiming this place is good. People need honest reviews so they know where they're going and where their money is going. The owner needs to sort the place out and win guests back, or it should close.
