PS HOUSE Old Port

The location was good, but this was easily our worst stay after four years of family trips to Greece and countless rooms, hotels, and Airbnbs. Nobody got in touch to explain how to enter the apartment, even though I messaged two hours before we arrived. It hadn’t been properly cleaned. The cleaner had been there, but it looked as if she’d only made the beds and changed the towels and sheets. There was hair everywhere and blood stains on the supposedly new sheets. I called the owner and asked for the cleaner to return the next day. The cleaning was a little better and we got fresh sheets, but afterward my wife’s new necklace went missing. She had wrapped it around a piece of cardboard with our daughter’s necklace to stop them tangling, then put it in a zipped pocket in her suitcase. We searched in case it had fallen out. When she opened the pocket, the zipper had caught on the cardboard. She’d pushed it all the way to the bottom, but whoever took the necklace hadn’t put the cardboard back down there. We told the owner what had happened. He didn’t know what to do and said he wouldn’t confront the cleaner because he knew she’d deny it. I suspect he also didn’t want to upset her and risk losing her during the busy season. Later that night, as we were leaving for dinner, the owner arrived on his scooter and said he was going to report it to the police. That may have been a lie, since the police never contacted us to report what happened. We weren’t offered any compensation. I’d never stay here again. Terrible experience, despite the good location.
