I've never before been sworn at by a hotel owner and his child. It was deeply upsetting, and the child seemed to be learning how to commit fraud. The situation felt suspicious, and Vangelis left me feeling unsafe. As a woman traveling alone, I found that completely unacceptable and was still considering speaking to the police. When I first saw the room, I asked why there was no sea view. Vangelis said, "There is a sea view, there are just trees in the way!" That was hard to accept after paying €750 for 6 nights. That's expensive for Greece, where there are better places right by the sea for a similar price. He talked about upgrading me, but that didn't happen until after 4 nights. Then he offered 2 extra nights for free, which I appreciated and thought might mean I wouldn't write a harsh review. But when I asked for extra sheets and towels so two friends could use the bunk beds for one night, he said I'd paid for one person. I hadn't, the booking was for 2, and I was alone for 5 nights. Once I reminded him, he backed down. He could have charged for the third person, which would have been mean, but instead he said I could leave the next day because he had another booking. I refused. I'd already changed my ferry and work plans, and that seemed pretty immoral. He knew he had no choice but to let me stay, yet I felt very uncomfortable for the next 2 days and tried to avoid him. So Vangelis, sadly, you've earned those bad reviews again. That behavior was really uncool. You can't offer something for free and then find an excuse to take it back once you realize you could make more money. It felt gross. There was also no hot water, and the water pressure was poor until the day I was leaving, haha. The WiFi was very unreliable, and the cooker was old and dirty. The place simply wasn't worth what it cost. Setting aside the suspected fraud, sneaky behavior, and verbal abuse, it still wasn't good enough for the money.

There were nine of us students, staying four nights, and the hospitality was great. The price made it a very good experience overall. We had two apartments, one for 5 people and another for 4, both fairly spacious, especially the one for 5, and each had a balcony. The center was a 15-minute walk away, while the clubs in skiathos took 30 minutes on foot. The main drawback was cleanliness: the bathrooms and sheets could have been cleaner, which is why I'd give it 4/5 stars.

We arrived to a very clean, well-equipped room with a balcony and an amazing view, and the neighborhood was peaceful. The host was kind and friendly, checked that everything was okay throughout our stay, and even drove us to the airport when we left. Megali Ammos beach is only a two-minute walk away, town takes 10-15 minutes on foot, and bus station nr. 5 is close too. We'll definitely come back.

The apartment was spacious and had a well-equipped kitchen, and the owner was nice. It's in a quiet neighborhood, with the city about a fifteen-minute walk away. A hairdryer was missing, and the place was a bit dirty, but at 18€ per night for 2 people, it was okay.
