There’s a big shared barbecue where you can eat and play the many board games, plus a small playground for the kids. Every room has a good balcony overlooking the garden, and the first-floor rooms also look out to sea. The place is near town, easy to reach, and the rooms are clean, with sheets and towels changed every three days. It’s close to two supermarkets and two gas stations, and near Stafylos and Velanio beaches. Agnontas port is a 15-minute drive away. The rooms could use a small renovation, but it’s fair for the money.

The owner was kind and suggested going via Mantoudi, Evia, which would work out cheaper for us. The garden is nice, with somewhere to sit and relax, though it felt a bit neglected. The location is handy for the supermarket, but you definitely need transport to get to town, since it’s not walkable. The price was very good by today’s standards, 60 euros a night, since you can’t find those prices anymore. The room sometimes smelled like sewage, and at other times like oil. We told the owner, and the rooms next door had the same problem. There were no shower gel or shampoo samples, but we’d already been there before and brought our own. They also left us very little toilet paper, so we had to buy some ourselves on the last day.

The room was spotless and spacious, and the people and service were excellent. It’s ideally located near the center, with a large parking area, swings and a shared barbecue. I highly recommend it.

The rooms are in a quiet spot about 1.5 km from the port, and the balconies have a very nice view across the whole town. The building is quite run down, though, and the gardens are neglected and rather dirty. The room itself is pretty average.
