Stafylos Rooms

The hosts were so hospitable, helpful, and discreet. The whole stay raised the bar for our next vacation, wherever that might be. The view and location feel magical: shut your room door, walk two minutes, and you're diving into the beautiful beach at Stafylos. The rooms are simple and lovely, with air-conditioning, a fridge, and a TV, plus there's private parking. Catching a full moon would make the whole experience soar. If you're choosing Skopelos for a holiday, don't hesitate. As we leave, I'm not saying goodbye, just “see you later”.

The place is very clean, with an authentic feel and decor that hasn't been standardized. Sophia is charming and puts a lot of care into things. You can still find some of Greece's atmosphere and hospitality here, which is hard to come by elsewhere on the island. Excellent value for money!

The view is the only real thing these rooms have going for them. The table outside each room, where you could sit and enjoy it, didn't look like it had been cleaned recently. The rooms haven't been updated, the furniture is old, and the mattress was lumpy enough to leave my whole body aching in the morning. Cleanliness was basically nonexistent, although the towels and sheets were at least somewhat clean. The parking was up a very steep, difficult hill to the rooms, and only if you could manage to park there. We paid 90€ a night for this room, and thankfully stayed just two nights. I don't recommend it and wouldn't go back if I ever visited this island again.

The kitchen has everything, and the rooms are only a two-minute walk from the beach. The location is great, and the service and attitude were impeccable.
