Hippokratis Apartments

Our little boy was happiest in the big pool, while we loved how thoughtfully everything was looked after. The room was cleaned every day, and we got fresh towels every other day. Lisa was a delight to talk to, always kind and ready to help, often going beyond what we needed. We spent two lovely weeks at Hippokratis Apartments. It’s right beside the sea, the apartment was spotless and comfortable, and the sound of the waves and the peaceful setting made it special. The whole family treated us so well. The owners served delicious food at fair prices, and their children were polite and professional when helping in the restaurant. Their daughter’s singing and playing added a warm, genuine feel. We can’t think of anything negative to say. When we come back to Crete, this will be our first choice. We highly recommend Hippokratis Apartments.

This is only about the restaurant at Hippokratis Apartments. I went in October and Lisa’s service and hospitality were wonderful. She’s the sort of waitress you’re happy to leave a generous tip for. Her husband, who cooks, made a much less sympathetic impression, and charged me one euro too much. That was less than I’d meant to tip Lisa.

The taverna sits right by the beach, and the food is delicious. Even if you’re staying elsewhere, it’s worth going for lunch or dinner. The sunsets there are probably among the island’s most spectacular. This was another perfect visit for my friend and me with Kostas and his family. Everything is relaxed and friendly, and the apartments had all we needed. They’re so accommodating, helping with whatever comes up, like lending me a yoga mat and blocks. Kiitos Pirkko!

We felt safe and at peace in this welcoming, homely place, and our family is so glad we found it. The apartments are run by a friendly and helpful family, and ours was well equipped, very clean, and had a nice sea view. There are shady trees and sun chairs outside, too. We ate dinner at the beachside restaurant almost every evening. The food was delicious home cooking, and the sea view from there is beautiful. If we return to Crete, we’ll stay here again.
