Levantes Villas

We had a really pleasant time and would love to stay again. We were there for four nights in the villa on August 23, as a family with three adult children. It has three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, air conditioning, and a fully equipped kitchen, all to a high standard. The location is amazing, 50 meters from the sea and 100 meters from the promenade. There's a pool with a cocktail bar and draft beer. Eva, the owner, and her staff were amazing and available for any questions or requests.

We had a great time and hope to visit again. It's a great place to relax and a good base for exploring Pelion. The accommodation is highly maintained and has everything you need, including a well equipped kitchen, towels, Wi-Fi, and free, convenient parking. Every room has A/C. The pool is great and set away from the apartments, so noise won't disturb you, though the place is generally quiet anyway. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach. Eva is a great host, takes care of everything, and gives good advice on things to do nearby. Thanks to Eva and the staff.

We booked for three people and ten days. For the location, amenities, and service, it was overpriced. Cleaning was below average. I had to leave the same milk-stained glass by the sink three times before the housekeeper washed it. We paid extra for breakfast because of Covid and were told everything would be packaged and sealed, but the coffee wasn't. When we asked for more filter coffee, the open pack had only two portions left, and the next pack was open too with another two portions. The third time we asked, the housekeeper said the owner had told her not to bring anything and that we should have planned better. On the housekeeper's day off, nobody came by, not even to check the toilet paper, which she hadn't replenished the day before. When the pool area was half full under Covid measures, we were told to sit in another poolside area with chairs. But while sitting there, we weren't allowed to use the pool, not because of Covid but to avoid getting the pool furniture wet. One afternoon around 3.00, the pool cafe girl came to ask if we planned to use the pool, which was supposed to close at 8. She said nobody had come the previous day, and if we weren't going to use it, she'd close the whole area and leave. We were asked to decide right then, even though the signs and website said it would stay open until 8. All in all, a really bad example of hospitality. It made me wonder whether the people running these places have ever stayed at any other facility in Greece or abroad.

We never got to stay at the hotel. A few weeks after booking through Booking, the owner unexpectedly asked us for a €1000 prepayment. We didn't have a chance to pay before our booking was cancelled a couple of hours later. When we tried to book again soon after, the rooms were unavailable. It's a shame to use methods that seem to deliberately cancel bookings. I'm sure the hotel itself is very nice, but the booking service matters just as much. If you want satisfied customers, ask for prepayment upfront as part of completing the booking. Don't leave a deadline hanging for a few hours and then cancel the reservation. In high season, when it's very hard to find somewhere to stay, this was the worst possible experience. Booking is an integral part of the hotel experience, even if we didn't end up staying. Fix the system if needed.
