My Cretan Village by Go4sea

It’s a good, simple option. There were four of us, with two comfortable rooms and a basic kitchen for our eight days in Crete, where there are endless restaurants, taverns, and bars to choose from. We had a sofa, a TV, and a lovely terrace where we could easily eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Nothing fancy, just the basics.

The apartment had the essentials we needed and was clean inside. Its location is especially convenient, and everything about our stay was excellent.

We had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday in this spacious, tidy apartment. It’s in a peaceful spot, well placed for getting into town and reaching the area’s nicest beaches. We’ll definitely come back!

My Cretan is made up of small bungalows in the Chorafakia area, with several lovely beaches easy to get to. Stavros Beach was my favorite. It was also where the famous Anthony Quinn dance scene in Zorba the Greek was filmed. The bungalows have what you need for a comfortable stay, while the generous shared spaces belong to the more traditional hotel, “Aloni Suites.” It feels like a mix of a country house and a hotel. The pool was warm, roomy, and a pleasure to spend time at. There’s also a bar serving drinks and snacks to your sun lounger, which really adds to the holiday mood. The gym and spa were closed during my visit. Staff were wonderfully attentive and showed that Cretan talent for making guests feel welcome. Katerine and Vaskia deserve a special mention for their thoughtful service, always delivered with a smile and genuine warmth. At this time of year, the cicadas make a constant chorus. I find the sound relaxing, and it takes me back to childhood summers when we always heard them. Next time I’m in Crete, I’ll be visiting My Cretan Village again.
