We stayed in winter and loved how comfortable and homelike the place felt. Archontiko has Greek traditional decor that makes it feel like stepping back in time, but it still has the comforts of a modern home. Pantelis is a real treasure, and we’ve never had such warm hospitality. His breakfast was one of a kind. The hiking tips, places to visit, and experiences he suggested were better than what we’d get from a travel agency. Fully recommended!

The owner was so welcoming and accommodating, and the homemade breakfast he prepared each day was the best part of our stay. The house was clean, well maintained, and cozy, making it ideal for a winter break. We also enjoyed using the fireplace. It was a very relaxing visit, and I highly recommend it.

Pantelis is the reason to stay here. He’s a real local and a forester who knows the whole Rodopi area inside out, and he’ll tailor suggestions to what you’re looking for. His knowledge alone makes the stay worthwhile. The house is lovely and comfortable, with all the amenities you might need, including complimentary toiletries and slippers. The breakfast was delicious, local, and organic. This is THE place to stay in the area!

He’ll make sure you’re looked after and treat you like family. The owner is a great guy who knows the mountains inside out and can direct you to the best places to eat for miles around. He can even read your future from your Greek coffee cup! 😂
